On-Call Craps Dealer | Caesars Entertainment | Stateline, NV

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Conducts assigned game according to procedure.
  • Exchanges cash for gaming chips according to procedure.
  • Cooperates with other Gaming Hosts when assigned to the same game (Craps), controls the pace of the game.
  • Informs the Floorperson of any requests or unusual play.
  • Issues to guests the proper amount of gaming chips after completion of the credit authorization procedures.
  • Acknowledge, greet, and converse to all guests, offering assistance and information to anyone showing an interest in table game play.
  • Routinely strives to build and maintain a rapport with table games guests.
  • Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
  • Adhere to all department/company policies and procedures.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have craps
  • Previous guest service position preferred.
  • Strong guest service orientation, able to handle monetary transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Manual dexterity to handle numerous decks of cards and chips.
  • Able to add, multiply, divide, and subtract accurately to figure payoffs.
  • Must have broad knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures, including good gaming security.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be 21 or older.

JOB DEMANDS:
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees.
  • Auditory range must include immediate environment, clear vision for near and medium distances, as well as, good peripheral vision.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing a noisy environment.
  • Must have physical ability to and be capable of standing during the length of one's shift.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise, temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all aspects of dealing assigned games and assists the Table Games Floor Person in tracking play and game observation. Greets and recruits new casino customers while providing friendly, excellent service to every guest.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Acknowledges, greets and converses in English with customers who approach the Table Games area.
  • Deals assigned games by delivering cards or assigned games pieces, determining winners and losers, collecting and paying bets.
  • Protects the integrity of games through observation and follows appropriate procedures.
  • Reads, verifies and signs appropriate documents when necessary.
  • As a Greeter, tracks multiple players' level and duration of play and makes introductions and solicits customer responses.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:
1 - 2  years dealing experience required in Craps. (Current specific game requirements are available upon request in Human Resources.) Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills. Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Must be able sit for long periods of time. Must be able to maneuver to work inside and continuously maneuver in and around assigned table in the Pit department during entire shift, with regular interval breaks. Must be able to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast pace environment. Responds to visual and aural cues. Must be able to memorize game rules and procedures. Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets. Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money. Must be able to accurately balance chip bank at the beginning and end of shift. Must have excellent vision (including peripheral) to protect the games. Must be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small area. Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
